I've decided to join Fall Essentials Sewing from Rhinestones & Telephones. I've never really done one of these sew-alongs but they look really fun. The goal of this event is to stock your wardrobe with quality pieces you will wear again and again. I feel that I've already started a little with the quilt, even though that isn't necessarily apparel sewing, heheh, but it certainly is in the spirit of getting ready for winter.
As far as wardrobe, I've already started making sleepers for my little guy. They are going very quickly and easily - far more quickly and easily than I would have thought. They're almost foolproof and take it from me, I'm very foolhardy, lol. I plan on making some slippers for myself and the boy as well as some hoodies and some slacks. I really want some work pants that aren't blue, black or brown. I really want to mix up the colors. I might even make a cardigan, or two. I won't be making any coats because I have far too many hanging in my closet. I've been on a bag kick lately and I might just start making a backpack in a couple different sizes.
Hop on over to Rhinestones & Telephones. She has a great website with lots of tutorials and sew-alongs.
