Weekly Update

Hi Everyone!

Well, its been a busy week mostly because my hubby starts a new job tomorrow and we have to figure out how we are going to be eating dinners since we both get home later.  I'm not one to eat dinner at 8 pm so out came the crock pot and the crock pot recipe book.

I made nine dinners in about two hours.  I didn't have to do any cooking because the crock pot will do the work for me.  All I had to do was do some chopping, add spices, label the freezer bags and pop them in the freezer.  Easy-peasy!

This morning it started raining at our house so all our plans were put on hold.  It was the perfect day to sew so I started with the rust colored t-shirt. Everything was going fine except my thread kept breaking.  It was bunching up at the needle and breaking. I think it might be because the thread might be a little old.

Anyhoo.  I proceeded with my t-shirt and then I did the unthinkable - I sewed one  the sleeves onto the right side so that the top - basically, wrong side out.  Try as I might, I was unable to fix it because I had finished the seam and it was like glue.  I ruined the edges of the fabric and unfortunately had to scrap the entire project.  *sigh*.

So, I'm going to move onto a different project. I don't know if I want to make a sheath dress or make my husband the Negroni.  I already bought the fabric and I want to see how my new machine handles wovens.

I'll keep you updated.  Have a great day!

Until this day, I will tease and say, I am going to make him something, His reply," No. I think I will buy mine,".hahahaha

    1. I've tried to make boxer shorts for my husband. They ended up being waaaayyyy too big. He never wore them. I'm hoping that this shirt turns out better than the boxer shorts, hehehehe.
